Don't laugh, I was busy doing one book, a rewrite of a book, and a translation and couldn't find the time to watch Lost in Translation (ironic isn't it?). I watched it yesterday with my girlfriend and I have to say: excellent in every respect of film-making.
The story is wonderful and shot in a way that makes it easy to relate to the main characters (there were two or three words of Japanese I actually understood, means I have a lot of work to do). Sofia Coppola and her crew did an amazing job here. Every shot was a work of art, the music complemented them and Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson were incredible.
No I do not get paid for this, this movie is an all time great, period. I might be late to the party, but I just needed to write about it.
