Scotty has left the Ship

The actor James Doohan, best known as "Scotty" from the StarTrek TV-series died yesterday.
He was one of the heroes of my childhood, I was too young to watch the first airing of the series, though. The BBC website has an article called Star Trek's Scotty dies aged 85.
