The Meaning of Names

I already wrote about the subject of the importance to find the right names, but a conversation with my girlfriend about the problems they had in the office regarding their IT-infrastructure, revealed another indication regarding names:
A system running Windows™ is essentially running DOS™, so a network of these machines is a DDOS-network, isn't it?
